Tai Chi at Cultivate Costa Rica is taught as a complete Daoist internal art, not simply a slow exercise. While they share most of the same movements, Water Tai Ji is practiced for health, while Fire Tai Ji is a complete martial art with practical self defense applications. Both Water & Fire emphasize alignment, relaxation & presence. An effective way to bring the mind back into harmony with the body.

Tai Chi is simultaneously medicine, martial art, and a path for Daoist Cultivation. Tai Ji, “Supreme Ultimate”, is the more accurate way to romanize and translate it and is symbolized in the Taijitu, or symbol of Yin/Yang in harmony.
